All advocates at Believing in Children have a background working with children with special needs. Amy Van Lew the Founder and Lead advocate has approximately 20 years of teaching experience in both the general education and special education settings.
Advocates at Believing In All Children have been trained by reputable organizations such as the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates. We hold a strong commitment to professional growth to remain current with
the latest trends.
At Believing In All Children, we believe in a holistic approach that addresses not only a child's academic needs but also their social and emotional well-being. We work closely with families and other professionals to create a comprehensive plan that meets the unique needs of each child.
Our team includes special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, behavior analysts, and other professionals, all with a passion for helping children with special needs. We believe in ongoing professional development to ensure that our team stays up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
We offer a range of programs, including early intervention, preschool, elementary, middle, and high school programs, and transition services. Each program is designed to meet the unique needs of each child and help them reach their full potential.
The special education process can be very overwhelming and isolating at times. As a former teacher of special education, general education and a mother of a special needs child I am well versed in navigating the special education journey professionally and personally.

Navigating the world of special education can be overwhelming. Believing In All Children offers expert consultation services to help families understand their rights and options. Our experienced consultants provide guidance on IEPs, 504 plans, and available resources, empowering parents to advocate effectively for their children’s educational needs.
Believing In All Children work collaboratively with school districts. Evidence and research are used to defend the position and/or request being made. It is the goal that the relationship between the family and district is strengthened by our presence.
Believing In all children has a high success rate. But there are times when the two parties cannot come to an agreement. In this case we would assist and guide you through your parental rights.
We believe that family engagement is critical to student success, and we work closely with families to ensure that they are involved in every step of their child's education.
